Our center specializes in the comprehensive evaluation and treatment of all types of infertility.  We offer all the new technologies used with In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) including Intra-Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI), cryopreservation, assisted hatching, and egg donation.  Our physicians are highly experienced in all aspects of these technologies and are also sensitive to your needs and concerns as an egg donor.

Egg donation has been around for over 25 years, with the first successful egg donor cycle occurring in 1983.  In 2007, the Centers for Disease Control report that over 10,000 egg donor cycles took place in the United States.  Egg donation has become an option that many IVF centers offer.  At Wisconsin Fertility Institute, we have offered egg donation as a service since we opened.  Two staff members, our donor coordinator and a nurse practitioner, are solely dedicated to working directly with egg donors and intended parents to provide high quality care, compassion, and instructions as donors and intended parents undergo the process.

In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) utilizing Donor Eggs
In general, IVF is a process by which multiple eggs are grown and retrieved from the ovaries and fertilized outside the body.  Many of those fertilized eggs will develop into embryos which are transferred into a uterus for implantation and pregnancy.  When a donor is used, the cycles of the egg donor and the intended parent or gestational carrier are coordinated.
